The Apple Festival

If you ever get a chance to go to The Carter Mountain Orchard you have to do it! We had so much fun! It was a great chance to be together with our family, hear some great music, eat some great food and pick our own apples! They hold the apple festival there every year for two weekends in a row. I know we will try to go back every year!

The Pumpkin Patches

We had so much fun last Thursday. Gavin's school had their annual field trip to Pumpkinville that morning. We had a great time there, then picked Mikey up early from school and went the other direction to Ashland Berry Farm to the big pumpkin patch. We made a huge day of it!

New portraits of the kids

I realized yesterday that it has been way too long since I have taken pictures of my babies. So I pulled out the black backdrop and some white tanks. I LOVE the results! What do you think? I sure am a luck lady to be able call these kids my own!

Our much needed Nags Head Vacation!

We had so much fun with our families in Nags Head this year. We stayed with Steven's parents and Aunts and Uncles in a great house in Kitty Hawk and spent a day in Hatteras with my family. The waves started off as normal Nags Head waves then in the middle of the week there was a thunder storm. After that storm the waves went crazy! I have never seen waves that big! They were a good 9 feet and they hit so hard! I thought my wrist was broken, one hit me, grabbed the boogie board which pulled me by the wrist so hard! the kids had a blast. I swear we did everything there was to do! The boys climbed the rockwall, we ran around jockey's ridge, flew in an airplane over the beach, ate at every great restaurant, played in the beach and in the pool at our house, but I think their favorite thing was the elevator in the house!! They were not supposed to play in it but everyone who knows Mikey and Gavin knows that wasn't going to stop them! Since we have been home they get in their closet and say they are in the elevator and it's taking them back to the beach house! Here are some of my favorite shots from the week!
